As the main charity for aortic dissection in the UK and Ireland, we are ensuring that the voices of patients and their families are heard at this vital event on cardiovascular disease (CVD).
With a strong commitment to reducing preventable deaths from major health conditions, the government is working to address the burden of CVD through cross-sector collaboration. This symposium will bring together representatives from the health sector, academia, industry, and patient organisations to explore solutions for improving outcomes, reducing inequalities, and alleviating pressure on NHS services.
Hosted by Ashley Dalton MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Public Health and Prevention, the event will focus on shaping the government’s heart disease and stroke ambition within the Health Mission and supporting the 10-Year Health Plan. Key discussions will highlight strategies to lower premature mortality, improve patient pathways, and address economic impacts.
With dedicated time for stakeholder-led discussion, this event is an opportunity to contribute to shaping future policies. The Aortic Dissection Charitable Trust will be there to ensure that the experiences and needs of aortic dissection patients are central to the conversation.
