Join Castle Combe Colts FC for a special evening with Steve Perryman MBE, Tottenham Hotspur legend and survivor of aortic dissection.
This event is your chance to hear first-hand from one of Spurs’ most dedicated players. Steve Perryman holds the record for the most appearances in the club’s history. His leadership on the pitch earned him lasting respect from fans and fellow professionals alike. In Devon, he is also remembered for his influential role as Director of Football at Exeter City, where he played a significant part in shaping the club’s future.
During the evening, Steve will share the story of his life-threatening aortic dissection. He will speak about the symptoms he experienced, the emergency surgery that saved his life, and his journey to recovery. His account highlights the importance of recognising the signs of this often-misunderstood condition and the need for rapid diagnosis and treatment.
Steve now travels across the UK speaking to football supporters of all ages. He raises awareness of aortic dissection and supports fundraising efforts to improve care and outcomes for patients and families.
