Irish Aortic Dissection Symposium

A comprehensive event exploring aortic dissection for medical professionals, featuring expert talks and hands-on breakout sessions.

Join us for an in-depth exploration of aortic dissection at the Irish Aortic Dissection Symposium 2025, a free, CPD-accredited event designed for paramedics, emergency medicine professionals, and surgeons. The morning session will feature expert lectures covering key aspects of aortic dissection, including pathophysiology, pre-hospital management, diagnosis, emergency department management, and human factors. In the afternoon, attendees can select two of three breakout sessions for a more hands-on experience:

  • Interactive Live Simulation – Engage with emergency case studies in a dynamic, real-time scenario
  • POCUS Hands-On Training – Develop proficiency in point-of-care ultrasound techniques
  • Surgical Dry Lab – Develop surgical techniques in a controlled setting

The morning session is open to all attendees. Afternoon breakout sessions have limited spaces, and pre-registration is required.
