Patient and Public Involvement Webinar 2

Join this webinar to help shape research priorities on sex-specific outcomes and quality of life after aortic dissection.

King’s College London, with the support of a research grant from the Aortic Dissection Charitable Trust, is hosting a Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) webinar to inform and develop research priorities on key topics related to aortic dissection. This is part of a wider research project focusing on Sex-Specific Outcomes and Health-Related Quality of Life After Aortic Dissection.

Following a well-received session in January, this second online event will provide an update on the ongoing work of the research team and PPI panel. Attendees will learn how previous feedback has influenced current research directions and have an opportunity to provide further input into the project’s next steps.

Aortic dissection affects approximately 7 in 100,000 people each year, with over 500 surgeries performed annually in the UK, a number that continues to rise. With more patients surviving beyond eight years post-surgery, attention is turning towards long-term health-related quality of life and psychosocial outcomes. This study aims to bridge the gap in existing research, particularly by exploring sex-specific differences and enhancing representation in patient-centred research.

We welcome all patients, family members, carers, and professionals interested in contributing to meaningful, patient-led research.

Book your place now to be part of this vital research.
