Apply for Aortic Advanced Practitioner Funding

The Aortic Dissection Charitable Trust is pleased to announce the availability of funding for an NHS Trust in England, Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland to appoint a part-time Aortic Specialist Nurse or Aortic Advanced Practitioner.

This funding supports two days per week at up to Change Band 8a for a three-year period. By the end of this term, the funded Trust will be required to have developed and approved a business case to secure ongoing support for the post. The role’s primary objective will be to ensure that patients with aortic dissection receive appropriate follow-up care and holistic support.

The successful applicant will benefit from access to educational resources and peer collaboration through our Community of Practice. Applications should be submitted by the Head of Service or Lead for the Aortic Service, with funds made available from the start of the appointment.
