Every week in the UK & Ireland over 70 people suffer an aortic dissection.

Every week, first responders, emergency departments and surgeons battle these complex cases to save lives, and the brightest minds work together to develop ground-breaking medical advances for patients and their families.

Every week is an opportunity to make a difference.

A better future for aortic patients starts here.

I lost my wonderful husband to this condition last year, our children are left to grow up without their loving father. More needs to be done to raise awareness and improve the chance of diagnosis in A&E.

I don’t want others to suffer this devastation.

We strive to be one of the most efficient charities in the UK & Ireland. Our trustees and team are deeply committed individuals who generously volunteer their time and expertise, often covering their own expenses to support our mission.

With your support, we can change the lives of patients, right now and in the future.

How your donation supports our work

Your donation helps to fund our aortic dissection projects, which support those with and at risk of the condition.

We fund research projects to identify wider solutions and advocate for the change needed to prevent aortic dissection-related death and disability.

Our promise

We are registered with the Fundraising Regulator and are honest, respectful and accountable to our supporters.

Your help and donations are critical to our work and greatly appreciated. Together, we can achieve incredible things to improve the lives of patients and their families.

I suffered a Type A aortic dissection. After 27 hours in A&E and following 2 CT scans, it was discovered. It should have been discovered earlier and it requires urgent changes in policy and medical practices to ensure all suffering an aortic dissection get a chance of treatment.
