The Aortic Dissection Charitable Trust has been invited to participate in a roundtable, organised by the ABHI Cardiovascular Group. The primary objective of this meeting is to discuss strategies to elevate patient awareness of cardiovascular disease.
Given the substantial implications of cardiovascular challenges on both the NHS and the broader UK economy, there’s an urgent need to enhance patient knowledge and awareness about these diseases. This roundtable aims to identify collaborative measures to address this critical issue.
The Association of British HealthTech Industries (ABHI) functions as a pivotal representative for the HealthTech industry, advocating for products and services that contribute to improved health outcomes. Its membership encompasses a diverse range of organisations, from global medical companies to local SMEs.
Operating as a subset of ABHI, the Cardiovascular Group connects various working groups associated with the cardiovascular system. The group’s purpose is to provide a comprehensive perspective on cardiovascular challenges facing the NHS and its broader impact on the UK’s welfare spending and economy. Three central working groups under its purview focus on vascular, stroke and heart valve disease.
The roundtable will engage in a collaborative dialogue, drawing from the expertise of various stakeholders to devise actionable strategies to boost patient awareness of cardiovascular health.
