It was a night of reflection, celebration and generosity, organised by the Latham family to honour the memory of Ben Latham. The event raised awareness and support for aortic dissection patients, while paying tribute to a beloved husband, father and friend.

Ben loved spending time with his wife, Tracey, and their children, Poppy and Harry, whether on family trips or simply enjoying life in their village of North Newbald. Ben’s love for Derby County Football Club made Pride Park Stadium a fitting venue for the event, bringing together the people and places that were important to him.

His engaging style kept the audience captivated, as they bid on unique items such as a holiday in Devon, a stay at Morley Hayes, and a hairstyling session at a renowned Chelsea salon. A bespoke sculpture by Paul Cummins MBE, creator of the famous poppy installation at the Tower of London, and a signed 1981 FA Cup Final photo from Steve Perryman MBE were among the most sought-after prizes.
The atmosphere was electric as guests generously placed their bids, motivated by the shared goal of supporting a cause that had touched so many. By the end of the night, a remarkable £40,000 had been raised, a testament to the compassion and commitment of everyone present.
