Fundraising Advice

When starting your fundraiser, either through a charity-organised event or your own unique challenge, we recommend the following to make your efforts both successful and compliant:

Set Up Your Fundraising Page: Begin by creating a dedicated fundraising page on www.justgiving.com/aorticdissection or opt to donate directly via the donate page. This simplifies the donation process for your supporters.

Understand What Not to Do: To ensure the integrity and safety of your fundraising efforts, please refrain from:

  • Door-to-door or unsolicited collections.
  • Collecting in public without local authority permission and necessary licenses.
  • Collecting on private property without the owner’s consent.
  • Running raffles or lotteries without contacting us for guidance.

Understand the Risks: Be aware that event organisers, sponsors, or those involved in the event’s organisation cannot be held responsible for any injuries, accidents, loss, or damage that may occur during the event, regardless of the cause. You understand that it is your responsibility to read and comply with any third party terms and conditions, to be safe and look after each other.

Health and Safety: Taking part in any physical event requires preparation. We advise you to:

  • Adequately prepare for the physical demands of the event.
  • Consult with a healthcare professional to confirm your fitness for participation if necessary.

Your commitment to fundraising for The Aortic Dissection Charitable Trust is greatly appreciated. Following these guidelines will help ensure your efforts are safe and successful
