BSET Annual Meeting 2026

A leading UK meeting showcasing advances in endovascular therapy, aortic research, and vascular training.

The BSET Annual Meeting 2026 will continue its role as a leading UK forum for innovation and clinical practice in endovascular therapy. This well-established event brings together consultants, trainees and industry partners for a day of shared discussion and professional development within the vascular community.

The scientific programme will present current research, emerging techniques and real-world clinical experience. A strong emphasis will be placed on improving outcomes and addressing key challenges across vascular and aortic care.

Programme Highlights

Sessions will include new research on outcomes in type B aortic dissection, including work towards developing a core outcome set led by Imperial College London and Amsterdam University Medical Centers. There will also be discussion on gender disparities in thoracic aortic aneurysm mortality in older adults, highlighting an important and evolving area of research.

A dedicated session will explore training pathways in open cardiothoracic surgery, including whether vascular surgery would benefit from formal aortic fellowships. This session will be led by Mr Aung Oo, Consultant Cardiac Surgeon at Barts Health, London.

National Vascular Training Day

Ahead of the main meeting, the National Vascular Training Day will provide practical, case-based learning for trainees in vascular surgery and interventional radiology. Delegates can choose from focused sessions covering EVAR planning and deployment, endovenous treatment, peripheral intervention, and managing complex or unexpected scenarios.

BSET 2026 offers a valuable opportunity to engage with peers, explore new evidence, and strengthen skills across all levels of practice in endovascular therapy.
