The Aortic Dissection Charitable Trust will be represented at Economist Enterprise’s Cardiovascular Health Summit, which brings together policymakers, clinicians, patient organisations, industry leaders and innovators to discuss the future of cardiovascular health across Europe.
The summit will explore the policy, prevention, innovation and investment needed to improve cardiovascular health. It takes place alongside the Future of Health Europe and AI in Health Summit.
How to Implement Europe’s Health Check Agenda
Catherine Fowler, Trustee of the Aortic Dissection Charitable Trust and an experienced patient advocate, will take part in the workshop How to Implement Europe’s Health Check Agenda. She will bring her extensive experience in patient advocacy and working with the NHS to improve cardiovascular care and patient pathways, joining leaders from patient advocacy and cardiovascular health, including:

- Bart Torbeyns, Executive Director, European Diabetes Forum
The workshop will consider how Europe can turn its cardiovascular health ambitions into practice. Discussions will explore how health checks can be embedded into routine and community care, how screening can be delivered consistently, and how digital technology and workforce innovation could support implementation. Importantly, the session will also consider equitable access and the role of sustainable funding in ensuring that cardiovascular prevention and early detection reach the people who need them.
