AORTIC LIVE 2026

Leading international experts, patient advocates and specialist societies come together to explore innovation, decision-making and outcomes in modern aortic disease management.

AORTIC LIVE is an international, academically led symposium focused entirely on diseases of the thoracic and abdominal aorta. The event brings together leading specialists from across the world to explore the realities of contemporary aortic care, from diagnosis and planning through to intervention, complication management and long-term outcomes.

Centred on authentic clinical practice, AORTIC LIVE features live open, endovascular and hybrid procedures, offering delegates a rare opportunity to observe decision-making and technical strategy as it happens. The programme is designed to encourage transparency, critical discussion and meaningful learning across the multidisciplinary teams involved in aortic care.

Who should attend?

AORTIC LIVE is suitable for professionals involved in the treatment, support or study of patients with aortic disease, including cardiac and vascular surgeons, endovascular and hybrid specialists, interventional cardiologists and radiologists, anaesthesia and critical care clinicians, surgical trainees and fellows, and allied healthcare professionals supporting procedural care.

Programme themes

The symposium will cover complex aortic surgery, uncomplicated type B aortic dissection, advanced endovascular and hybrid techniques, complex aortic endovascular intervention, patient advocacy and patient pathways in aortic dissection.

International faculty will include speakers from the USA, London, Paris, India, Italy, China, Germany and beyond. With special guest Professor Damian Bailey, Professor of Physiology and Biochemistry from the University of South Wales.

Patient voice and partnership

A dedicated session will be delivered in partnership with the United Kingdom Aortic Society, European Society for Vascular Surgery, Paris Vascular Insight and the Aortic Dissection Charitable Trust.

The Aortic Dissection Charitable Trust will play a central role in representing the patient perspective, including patient speakers and contributions to discussions on care pathways, misdiagnosis and system-level improvement.
